Smokezilla Sugar Skull Torch

Was given the puple one as a present, I wanted to show a mutual friend so I left both the tag and clip preventing the clicker stopper thing to be pressed as they were, met mutual friend, removed plastic clicker stopper, clicked it, ooooo ahhhhh, preeeeetty. Put it in my purse for the return home, got, got home.............hasn't worked since. And I could see it sparking inside but not at the tip nor could I hear any sounds of fluid being dispensed, so i cupped my other hand over the tip and pressed the clicker only part way down enough it would release the fluid but the flame never made it out the tip instead the spark from down inside (again not at the tip where I expected it to like all the other torch lighters of this design) blew a fireball out both sides of the vent slots and set my hand alight, which i had to shake vigorously (or at least in my sudden panic, thats how I reacted lol) Thankfully, no injuries or deaths occurred, don't worry but I'm pretty upset I only got 1 ignition of flame off it, didn't even get to ignite a smokable item with it and it scared me making me think either I was gonna get burned and hurt or worse I'd let go and have it set my house on fire.......I'd say I'm very dissatisfied with what looks like such a lovely product. K, so I let my husband take it apart in hopes he could figure out and maybe adjust the use if it was simple ish, he's a very handy man, can fix pretty much everything but 4 or 5 hours later we are still sitting here because all of the internal hardwares, wires, and components are of the most inexpensive possible components and/or Made of the lowest quality materials available for said components, wires, and hardwares. He is even taking apart another one of a different make that was functioning apart in order to look at their differences and other than there being a plug in the tips pipe, which he used air pressure to dislodge successfully but components in positions to need to with stand the load weight of ones thumb amd the pressude of the botton being pushed were immediately bent, indicated inwas either "to aggressive" in my 1 demonstrational click (my smokable has the opposide efect btw, if you catch my drift)..........or.......the more likely option in my opinion, someone cut a corner when they sourced the needed materials to construct this torch lighter, aka its cheaply built and the funds for better quality parts were wasted on the lower quality replacements for the sake of upping the appeal visually with its vibrant colors and cute design and then pocketing the difference for thier own gain. I say this....if you personally were making a torch lighter of this design, would you spend more money on quality parts for reliable functionality or would you spend the money on a marketing ploy that spends more on the esthetics and mass production (to create more visual appeal in more places, to people like me)
